Tractor is a common tool in our daily life, primarily used for towing and driving self-propelled machinery to complete mobile operations. Tractors are generally used in agriculture, but there are also industrial, specialized, and detailed classifications of tractors? Below, let me share with you the operating principle and structural composition of a tractor.
1、 Working principle of tractor
The engine of a tractor is a diesel engine, which is primarily relied upon for operation. The operation of a diesel engine consists of four processes: intake, compression, combustion expansion, and exhaust, forming a working cycle:
The intake stroke is designed to fill the cylinder with fresh air. At the beginning of the intake stroke, the piston is at top dead center, and some exhaust gas remains in the combustion chamber of the cylinder.
During the compression stroke, the piston moves between the top dead center and bottom dead center (BDC) during the compression process. When the piston moves upward and the intake valve closes, the air inside the cylinder is compressed to a sufficient degree to ensure that the fuel injected into the cylinder can self ignite.
At the beginning of the incineration expansion stroke, most of the fuel injected into the incineration chamber is incinerated. When burned, a large amount of heat is released. The piston moves downwards under the effect of high-temperature and high-pressure gas, and rolls the crankshaft through the connecting rod to operate externally.
Exhaust stroke, the effect of which is to discharge the swollen exhaust gas and fill it with fresh air, preparing for the intake of the next cycle. When the homework stroke piston moves to near the bottom dead center, the exhaust valve opens, and the piston moves from the bottom dead center to the top dead center under the drive of the crankshaft and connecting rod, discharging the exhaust gas out of the cylinder.
2、 Structural composition of tractor
Although tractors are relatively complex machines with different types and scales, they are composed of engines, chassis, and electrical equipment.
The engine is the power equipment of a tractor, which converts the thermal energy of fuel into mechanical energy and outputs power. At present, all agricultural tractors produced in China use diesel engines.
The chassis is the equipment that transmits power to a tractor. Its effect is to transmit the power of the engine to the driving wheels and work equipment, enabling the tractor to run, complete mobile operations, or achieve fixed effects. This function is achieved through the coordination and coordination of the transmission system, walking system, steering system, braking system, and operating equipment, which also constitute the skeleton and body of the tractor. Therefore, we collectively refer to the above four systems and one device as a chassis. That is to say, in the entire tractor, except for the engine and electrical equipment, all other systems and equipment are collectively referred to as the tractor chassis. Electrical equipment is the device that ensures the power supply of tractors, and its effect is to solve lighting, signaling, and engine start-up.
